Terms and Conditions

 

Please take the time to read carefully through our Terms and Conditions of Booking.  They are the basis of the contract between yourself and Trade & Training Solutions Limited trading as and represented below as PCV Training Solutions or "We".

 

A contract will exist between us when we have taken your booking and required payment. You will then automatically receive a confirmation/invoice detailing exactly what has been booked. If you think anything is incorrect please contact us straight away. 

 

Payment

You can choose to pay the full course fees upfront, or just a deposit which will secure your place on whichever course you specify.  If paying the deposit only, the final balance becomes due when dates for the practical part of the course are confirmed.

If the course you require to book is a practical-only course then we require the full fee upfront, at the time of booking.

Payment is to be made in GBP/£ and no other currency.

 

Changes to your Bookings

Once the medical exam has been booked, it is non refundable. We will endeavour to try and find a replacement at no extra cost for you however we cannot guarantee this will always be possible.

 

The theory test appointment can be changed as long as we are notified 5 working days prior to the date it was due to take place. If we are notified less than 5 working days this too is non refundable.

 

If, after you have confirmed your practical course booking, you wish to make any alterations any such amendment should be telephoned to PCV Training Solutions in the first instance but must be confirmed in writing immediately thereafter.  

However, if a major amendment is requested less than 2 weeks prior to the practical course start date, we reserve the right to treat your request as a non refundable cancellation. Once again, we will endeavour to try and find a replacement at no extra cost for you however we cannot guarantee this will always be possible.

In the unfortunate event that a customer fails their theory test, DVSA will require a retest fee (on average £50). We can assist the customer in rebooking this test at no extra charge.

In the unfortunate event that a customer fails their practical test, DVSA will require a retest fee (£115 for Category D/D1 and £55 for CPC). We can assist the customer in rebooking this test at no extra charge. 

 

Cancelling your Booking

You have the right to cancel your course within 14 days from the date of your booking and you will receive a full refund.

Please note the following exceptions from this rule (possible deductions):

1. If a medical has been booked for you and a specialised driver medical clinic which states their appointments are non refundable has been paid for the booking, we cannot refund you for the cost of the medical which is on average £50.  Proof of payment to clinic and copy of clinic no-refund policy will be provided. We endeavour to advise you prior to booking a medical appointment if the clinic policy is a no-refund one.

2. If a theory test has been booked for you and the fee paid to DVSA and this theory test is due to take place in less than 5 days (from the date when you request a cancellation) please be aware we cannot refund you for the cost of it (which is on average £50) because DVSA does not allow a cancellation with a shorter notice than 5 days.  Proof of payment to DVSA and copy of DVSA no-refund policy will be provided. We endeavour to advise you prior to booking a theory test that a minimum of 5 days notice must be given for cancellation or change of appointment.

3. If a practical course has been booked and the confirmation has been sent to the customer in writing, the course is non cancellable and non refundable unless we are notified more than 2 weeks in advance.

You also have the right to cancel your course after 14 days from the date of your booking, however in this case a cancellation fee equivalent to 40% of the value of the course will be charged.

Any refund - full or partial - will be returned  within 10 working days via the same method of payment you used when booking the training course.

​

Please note that if you have received theory study material in the post (as a book/paperback/CD) and if you are cancelling your course within 14 days, you are required to return such material to our registered address 27 Old Gloucester Road, London WC1N 3AX within 10 working days.

 

Unexpected Course Changes

PCV Training Solutions will do its utmost to provide all of the arrangements that have been confirmed, but must reserve the right to alter or cancel any practical training bookings if operational, weather or other considerations so dictate.

If we have to make a major change to your course, we will offer a suitable alternative if available, or 100% refund, if we are not able, in our opinion, to offer an alternative that is sufficiently comparable.

 

Terminations

We reserve the right to terminate the training of any student without reimbursement of fees if they are guilty of unreasonable or improper conduct, or breach of the health and safety rules.

If a student chooses to leave during a course they will not be eligible for reimbursement of fees.

Drinking and the use of drugs are not permitted during the course and, if students/customers are thought to have been involved in these activities, their training will be terminated immediately.

Students are expected to report and, where appropriate, pay for any damage and breakages.

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure he has the correct entitlements on his driving licence.

The PCV training courses are valid for 12 months - any requests after these period will not be honoured and the course fees will be considered forfeited. However in exceptional circumstances we might allow an extension of the course if notified at least 30 days prior to the expiry date.
