PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) was formerly known as PSV (Passenger Service Vehicle).

The PCV Category D Bus licence allows you to drive any automatic buses including single deckers, double decker buses and also bendy buses.

If you would like to be able to drive coaches, then you will need to sit and pass your PCV test in a manual vehicle. However, if you currently have a manual car licence, you will automatically be upgraded to a manual PCV licence Category D.

 You will also receive Category D1 (minibus licence), as PCV Category D supersedes the Category D1 minibus licence.
